As I mentioned - I have to leave town for business tomorrow. For this weekend, there are still volunteer activities that we could use people for. If you have questions or will be running late but want to attend, please call Sonia at 703-587-7655. Here is the scoop:
"Meet at East Falls Church metro in the parking lot on Saturday around 1100 and again on Sunday. The goal on Sat is to paper the area south of Lee from EFC to Ballston. On Sunday, we will pick up where we left off north of Lee and move east over Glebe. On both days, we will tackle the strip mall parking lots in the west Arlington/EFC area."
Starting on Monday, one of the people Rocky is closest too in the world will be managing the blog and the search for me until either Rocky or me returns home - her name is Jessika. She will be posting her contact info.
For any of my friends that know Rocky - let me know if you want me to put you on the sighting call list for response while I am away.

SOME QUICK NOTES ABOUT THE FLIER UPDATES ON THE MAP:
ReplyDeleteAs "Mapministrator" I will gladly indicate on the map as much detail as you can provide re: where fliering has been done. As an example, I fliered the streets indicated by the purpley-blue path Wednesday morning. Meanwhile, Lisa fliered a complete area Thurs afternoon, which is indicated by the pale orange area. If a fliering volunteer provides me with an area and the roads bordering it, I'll assume most of the streets within that area have been flyered. The more detail I am given, the more I will reflect on the map. Thanks!! Jen N. :)

My wife and I just finished posting/looking around areas C1 & C2, and the northeastern part of B2. We also drove around the Verizon building and I got out and had a look around. We didn't have any sightings, but remain hopeful! These areas were flyered pretty well, and we posted and replaced some flyers where needed.

We flyered D2, some of southern D1, northern E2, and northern D3. We were particularly thorough in D2 and Madison Manor neighborhood (northern D3). Also the Lee Harrison parking lot and garage probably in the 11:30 range.

You guys are doing a fabulous job. My partner and I recently moved to Falls Church from Australia and there are flyers everywhere! We will be out looking for Rocky. Pray he is home soon.

ReplyDeleteHello. Jeff here. Natalia, Mike, and I went through D1 this afternoon. It looked like 1/4 of it was already covered. It looks like someone went along 26th St N and put fliers on each side of the intersections in D1. I do not know how much further east or west they went.
ReplyDeleteShana - I saw three cars driving along Lee Hwy this afternoon with a white card on the driver's side of their windshield. Hopefully, they will notice them.
Hello, I just wanted to post a message of support. I live in Arlington and see the fliers--my heart breaks for you. I've had two cats go missing and come home over the years (one through fliers posted around town)--it can definitely happen! It sounds like you are doing all the right things. I also recommend trying to locate an animal psychic--no idea how you can find one who isn't a quack, but in my experience there are true psychics out there and maybe one can tap into Rocky's location.
