I've had a lot of people send emails to me saying they wish they could join the search. For those that might not be able to make it out in the area to look for him - here are some other things you can do - even some from thousands of miles away:
1) Post and distribute flyers in the Falls Church and Arlington area - at post offices, shops, vet clinics, churches, apt buildings and neighborhoods
2) Make sure UPS, FedEx and Postal folks who work in area all have a copy of his flyer
3) Community outreach to HOAs, apt buildings and community associations - emailing and faxing Rocky's flyer
4) Insuring lost pet registry's and web sites have Rocky's info posted
5) Following up with local shelters, humane groups and vets to insure they have Rocky's info up and available
6) Media outreach - local newspapers and newsletters

I just sent an email to the News Press, but if others do the same it may reinforce the message. Hopefully Rocky will be home before then, but if not, it might help reach anyone who has taken him in.

ReplyDeleteHave you considered asking the Boy Scouts to organize a search and rescue mission? We could probably stage a coordinated sweep of most of the Falls Church area.
